Finglas A School Completion Programme: Project Worker
The School Completion Programme is one of three strands of the Tusla
Education Support Services (TESS).
Children and young people are referred to SCP through the Intake
Framework. The programme aims to have a significant positive impact on
levels of young people?s retention in primary and second level
schools and on numbers of pupils who successfully complete the Senior
Cycle, or equivalent.

Finglas A SCP is currently recruiting the following positions

PROJECT WORKER

We are recruiting 2 full time project workers to provide direct
support to our target students in our schools before, during and after
school hours. There are 2 post primary schools and 7 post primary
schools in our cluster.

The successful applicant will have the
following?ESSENTIAL?requirements;

* Education to National Degree standard, preferably in one of the
following areas:? Early years development, special needs education,
Trauma studies, creative/play therapy, youth work, social care
* Minimum of 1 years? experience of working with young people
within a supportive environment,
* The ideal candidate will have skills and talents outside of their
academic abilities that are transferrable to developing programmes
that will engage students at risk. Desirable Skills sets might include
art, sports, music, wellbeing, and gardening. Rap, multimedia etc.
* High level of motivation / ability to work on own initiative
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with relevant local
agencies
* Positive and flexible approach to working as part of a team
* Commitment to the purpose of SCP ?and to work within the values,
policies and procedures of the organisation
* To act consistently in a professional manner at all time
* OWN CAR AND CURRENT DRIVING LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL
* Gaeilge desirable

Garda vetting will be a requirement for the successful candidate
