OVERALL AIM: To inspire people living and working locally to live and
act as global citizens playing their part in the creation of a more
just, equal and sustainable world.

Established in **Apply on the website**, LYCS is an integrated
community based _education, training and development_ project which is
concerned with giving participants the opportunity to become involved
in their own development and the development of their community.??
LYCS operates the following programmes: _Childcare, Community Training
Centre, Youth Programme, Adult Education Programme, Global Citizen
Education and a CE Scheme._

Your role will be to work with a team of staff and ensure the
effective and efficient direction of the human, financial and material
resources of the Global Citizen Education Programme. Central to the
role is the need to inspire our **Apply on the website** participants,
staff, and Board Trustees to live and act as global citizens.?

You will work within a team to help to devise, implement and review
priorities guided by LYCS strategy and plans which you will be
responsible for producing and achieving.? Previous Global Citizen
Education experience essential.?

Work experience/Qualifications:

* Previous direct experience in Global Citizenship education or a
related field.
* Major Award at 3rd Level (QQI level 7 or higher) in Community
Development, Global Citizenship education or a related field.
* Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills.
* An understanding of social justice issues effecting the local
community and disadvantaged communities across the world.
* Ability to plan and deliver creative workshops and training to
varied audiences. Problem-solve within a team to effectively deliver
the programme of work. Administrative and record keeping skills.
