LOCATION:? TU Dublin Students? Union operates on the following
campuses:

* Blanchardstown Campus
* City Campus (Aungier Street, Bolton Street and Grangegorman)
* Tallaght Campus

This is a 5 day a week position with a 6-month probation period, based
in Dublin.

ABOUT TU DUBLIN SU

TU Dublin Students? Union is currently in a period of exciting
change with the development of the new state-of-the-art campus at
Grangegorman and having recently become Ireland?s first
Technological University.

TU Dublin Students? Union is unusual in Ireland in that the
operations of the Students? Union are run by a company limited by
guarantee. The company is owned by the Students of TU Dublin by virtue
of their membership of the Union.

The company does not involve itself with the Politics of the elected
representatives of the Students? Union and instead is tasked with
the operational functions of the Union including:

* Financial Management
* Human Resourcing
* Risk Management

Other administrative functions such as operational policy development
and office

THIS ROLE?

This is an exciting role in TU Dublin SU, Ireland?s
largest?Students??Union,?with extensive opportunities to
participate in?development?and?delivery?of?our?core
services?for our student?members and Elected Officers.?This role
would work closely in supporting and collaborating with the elected
officers.

The role will oversee and support the representative and democratic
functions of the Students? Union whilst focusing on developing and
building membership and stakeholder engagement. They will act as the
main point of contact for all the democratic and representative
activity ensuring the executive team are fully supported.

Due to the nature of this role, it will require flexible working. This
is mostly scheduled in advance but does require flexibility. TU Dublin
SU operates a full Time off in Lieu scheme.

As an organisation run for Students and by students, we expect the
role to maintain the ethos of the organisation in all work matters.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE

* Responsibility for the overall planning and implementation of the
TU Dublin Students? Union Elections
* Act as the official clerk to Technological University Dublin
Students? Union Students? Council, the highest democratic body of
the Students? Union.
* Ensure that all matters pertaining to the TU Dublin SU
Constitution are upheld such as key dates, motions, policies etc.
Advise the elected team, staff and student members on such matters as
necessary.
* As the foundation stone of the representative structure of
Students? Union, the Class Rep System is core to all that we do.
This role will be responsible for identifying and driving campaigns
and programmes that will increase participation, engagement and
recognition of the TU Dublin Students? Union Class Rep System
amongst its members.
* Identify and run outreach and awareness campaigns to our student
members promoting the work of the Students' Union
* Support the development of an emerging and robust Volunteering
programme for the organisation.
* Develop relevant reports on various aspects of participation and
engagement in our systems, analyse and evaluate this data and present
it to relevant stakeholders.
* Work with the Elected Team on projects and initiatives to increase
and maintain student engagement through policy development, projects,
and activities.
* Work with the Elected Executive team to identify and deliver
resources and personal development training opportunities and
programmes for students and officers in the areas of leadership,
coaching and mentoring
* Represent the Students? Union on nominated University Committees
* Work with the team to develop the Annual Work plan.

REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL:

* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy office environment
* Strong IT skills
* A good understanding of data, how to present and evaluate systems
in a way that is understandable
* Strong organisational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced
environment.

* Ability to troubleshoot difficult situations, and deal with them
calmly, efficiently and effectively
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills

DESIRABLE

* A good working knowledge of policy development would be an
advantage
* A good working knowledge of Students? Unions or similar
membership-based organisation would be an advantage.
* Basic understanding of Data Protection (GDPR) .
* Experience working with Social Media accounts and websites would
be an advantage
* Recent experience in Event management

The successful candidate will have:

* Fluent in verbal and written English.?
* A hands-on individual with excellent organisational skills and
attention to detail
* Have strong problem-solving skills with a capacity to solve
problems creatively
* Good people skills and a positive work attitude.
* Proactive, energetic, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to a
variety of tasks and projects
* A collaborative working style with the ability to develop strong
relationships and engagement with the TU Dublin Students? Union
community and external stakeholders
* Proven ability to manage a varied workload in a flexible and
diverse working environment
* The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
