Leitrim Development Company wish to appoint a Youth Work Assistant
to support the delivery of youth services. The Youth Work Assistant
will be part of a team with responsibility for the development and
delivery of a comprehensive youth supports in the area.
ABOUT UBU: The UBU Your Place Your Space programme is funded by the
Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.
Its mission is to provide out-of-school supports to young people in
their local communities to enable them to overcome adverse
circumstances and achieve their full potential by improving their
personal and social development outcomes.
JOB SUMMARY: Work with targeted young people in the area to develop
and deliver youth work programmes and supports.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Traveller Project Co-ordinator/Mohill Community Youth
Project Co-ordinator
LOCATION: Shannonside Community Centre, Carrick on Shannon, Co.
Leitrim & Marian College, Mohill, Co. Leitrim
POSITION: Part-time (**Apply on the website**.5 hours per week) -
working three evenings per week. The position will require flexibility
in relation to working hours. Full driver’s license essential.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Qualification in Youth Work or relevant discipline.
* Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience of working with young
people.
