SOCIAL CARE WORKER

ABOUT CUANLEE

Cuanlee provides accommodation and support services for women and
children experiencing domestic abuse. The staff team provide a range
of pre-crisis, crisis and post-crisis responses, that support women
who wish to move on and live independently, free from violence. Our
professional staff are available to support women and children during
their stay in the refuge. A non-judgmental, open and welcoming service
is available to all women and children in Cuanlee.

The refuge provides safe and secure emergency accommodation. This is
short term and offers a high level of support. Emergency accommodation
can be provided for 6 women/families at any given time.

The off-site accommodation comprises of 5 apartments (3 one bed
apartments and 2 two bed apartments). A medium level of support is
provided. These apartments are used as a step down accommodation from
the refuge. They are also used for women/families that do not require
crisis intervention at the time of admission.

The Airbnb accommodation provides a low level of support. This is very
short term accomodation and may be offered until accommodation is
available in the refuge or off-site apartments. It can also be
provided as a form of respite to allow the woman/family the time and
space to safety plan and make decisions regarding their future.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Cuanlee Refuge is currently recruiting for the role of SOCIAL CARE
WORKER. This role will play a key role in the provision of
accommodation and support to women and children that have experienced
domestic abuse. The post holder will be based primarily in our
off-site accommodation. This is based on the grounds of the
Bessborough Centre. In order for the refuge and off-site accommodation
to work collaboratively, it will also be necessary to spend part of
the working week in the refuge. The role will operate on a rota basis,
but the working hours will mainly be 9am-5pm. These hours will be
worked over 5 days, between Monday and Saturday.
