FUNDRAISING & DIGITAL MARKETING OFFICER

CBM Ireland is a Christian international development organisation
working alongside people with disabilities in the world?s poorest
places to fight poverty and exclusion and transform lives. We have a
vacancy for the position of Fundraising & Digital Marketing Officer on
our fundraising and communications team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful applicant will play an important role in maintaining
and improving donor loyalty to ensure an exceptional experience is
delivered through every contact with our marketing, digital and
communications activities.

They will also oversee communication across all channels to raise
visibility, awareness and understanding of the organisation and our
work. The successful candidate will also be required to follow CBM
Ireland?s Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy

1. Direct marketing (**Apply on the website**%)
Support the Fundraising Manager and team across the following areas.
?

* CAMPAIGN IMPLEMENTATION. Deliver regular and inspiring direct
marketing campaigns on time, to agreed specification, and within
budget. The position holder will help plan, coordinate and prepare
appeal communications for supporters and prospective donors across
multiple channels, including direct mail, inserts, press advertising,
online, email and telephone.
* SUPPORTER CULTIVATION. Coordinating cultivation and fundraising
communications, through direct mail appeals and newsletters to
existing supporters, with the aim of maximising unrestricted net
income.
* ACQUISITION AND STEWARDSHIP. Acquisition appeals to deliver a
comprehensive recruitment, welcome and stewardship programme to
recruit and retain long-term supporters.
* TESTING AND INNOVATION. Testing and developing new fundraising
channels to engage with and raise funds from new audiences.
* AGENCY LIAISON. Develop excellent working relationships with
existing and new agencies and suppliers, including marketing agencies,
writers, designers, online agencies, print suppliers and mailing
houses.
* EFFICIENCY AND QUALITY. Ensure processes are delivered on time and
in the most cost effective manner. Identify opportunities for cost
saving and/or quality improvement.
* BEST PRACTICE. Adhere to legislation and good practice,
specifically with regards to data protection and fundraising
regulations
* BRAND IMPLEMENTATION. Ensure direct marketing communications
adhere to brand guidelines.
* ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT. Work closely with the Fundraising
Administration Officer and assist with daily donation processing and
lodgement, particularly during busy times. Handle donor
correspondence, responding appropriately to donor's requests and
queries. Maintain good quality, accurate, and up-to-date donor data on
the CRM system.

2. Digital marketing (**Apply on the website**%)
Work alongside the Fundraising Manager and digital agency in briefing
and ensuring off-line appeals are supported by digital fundraising
activities working towards an ongoing digital strategy.

* WEBSITE. Manage CBM Ireland?s website, adding content whilst
ensuring all pages are search engine optimised and there is brand
adherence across all communications
* SOCIAL MEDIA. Work with CBMs digital agency and develop/monitor
Paid Ads across our social media platforms
* EMAIL MARKETING. Develop and support digital agency in
communicating with donors and industry stakeholders whilst monitoring
results.
* GOOGLE SUITE. Monitor and track Google Analytics, Google AdWords
and Tag Manager trends and results with CBMs digital agency.
* CONTENT. Create and develop copy and content for CBM website and
social media channels

Raise the profile of CBM Ireland within the sector, amongst decision
makers and the giving public

* Integrate communications across all platforms to support our
programme, advocacy and fundraising efforts
* Increase CBM Ireland?s profile amongst giving public
* Explore PR, advertising and media opportunities for raising public
profile
* Work with other teams, including CBM Global, to maximise
opportunities and integrated working.
* Maintain an awareness and anticipation of charity sector trends
relating to direct/digital marketing and keep abreast of competitor
activities to enable CBM to respond and adapt quickly where
appropriate
* Be an excellent advocate for CBM, delivering communications in
line with the vision and values of the charity

PERSON CRITERIA

* Two or more years? experience in fundraising and/or digital
marketing role
* Proven experience managing social media across multiple channels,
including content development, scheduling, advertising and analysis.
* Proficiency with CRM systems, website management and ability to
learn new systems
* Proven experience in a customer service environment dealing with
the public
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to manage own projects, prioritise workload, and meet
deadlines
* Can work on own initiative, and show initiative
* Experience of donation or financial administration and working in
a direct marketing environment desirable
* Excellent communications skills, across both traditional and
digital channels.
* Knowledge of image and video editing software desirable
* Excellent written communication and proof-reading skills.
* Relevant qualification in fundraising or digital marketing is
desirable
