WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:

FULL-TIME TENANCY SUSTAINMENT WORKER - HOUSING FIRST SERVICE

The Housing First Service in Galway commenced in **Apply on the
website** in partnership with Galway City Council and HSE. The Tenancy
Sustainment part of the Housing First Service and is being jointly
provided by Galway Simon and COPE Galway. The programme is now being
expanded throughout counties Galway Mayo and Roscommon.

The Housing Support Officer will work as part of a joint Intensive
Case Management Service to deliver a ?Housing First? approach to
individuals who are long term homeless with complex support needs
throughout the Western Region.

The post currently being recruited for is for: GALWAY COUNTY

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE INCLUDE;

* Qualification in social care, youth work, social work or related
discipline at degree level
* Minimum 2 years? experience working with marginalised groups
* Full driver?s licence and own transport

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR ROLE INCLUDE;

* Committed and innovative in finding new ways to engage with each
client
* Ability to being clear and decisive in a crisis
* Respect and support clients objectively to achieve their choices,
where appropriate
* Ability to make and maintain positive effective relationships with
external stakeholders
* Ability to remain optimistic and resilient with a strong work
ethic, while facing challenges

HOURS OF WORK: Full time position, **Apply on the website** hours per
week including some evening and weekend work
