FIRST STEPS EARLY EDUCATION CENTRE
First Steps Early Education Centre is a community based preschool
service located in Rowlagh Health Centre in Clondalkin. We are
currently recruiting for 2 positions available in our centre.

EARLY YEARS TEACHER (PERMANENT PART TIME) POSITION AVAILABLE

The purpose of the position is to undertake the day to day
responsibility for the supervision of the children in First Steps
Early Education Centre. In addition, the post holder will ensure the
delivery of a high quality service by the staff team ensuring best
practice standards are maintained in the service.

Candidates must have a minimum of Level 7 qualification in Early
Childhood Studies or equivalent as recognised by the DCEDIY
qualifications list.

This position reports directly to the Manager.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

OVER ALL DUTIES

* To work in partnership with the Manager to ensure the delivery of
good quality childcare and education.
* To work with practitioners to provide a team approach to delivery
of childcare and education of the highest standard
* To work with individual and small groups of children to improve
outcomes for children
* To assist in covering breaks where necessary
* To act as a positive role model and to provide leadership, support
and motivation to the staff team
* To ensure that the policies and procedures of the service are
followed at all times and updated and revised as appropriate
* To ensure a daily inspection of the room and equipment resulting
in a safe and clean environment
* To take on any other reasonable responsibilities requested by the
manager

AIM PRESCHOOL SUPPORT TEACHER:

We are also looking for an enthusiastic AIM preschool support worker
who is interested in working with children with additional needs:

* The ACCESS AND INCLUSION MODEL (AIM) is a model of supports
designed to ensure that children with additional needs can access and
fully participate in the preschool environment and activities.
* Candidates must have a minimum Level 5 qualification in Childcare
and previous experience working in a preschool and/or working with
children with additional needs is desirable.
* This is a morning position from 9.**Apply on the website**am-

and the contract will run until July **Apply on the website**. AIM is
funded through Pobal and this position is for **Apply on the website**
