FULL-TIME PROJECT?WORKER (**APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOURS), 6 MONTH
CONTRACT

Killinarden SCP wishes to recruit a?Full-time Project Worker on an
initial six month contract.
The School Completion Programme (SCP) is funded nationally by Tusla
Education Support Service (TESS).
It aims to increase the number of young people who stay in primary and
second level school, and in so doing, improve the numbers who
successfully complete the Junior and Senior Cycle or an equivalent
level course.
The Killinarden School Completion Programme provides support to 6
local schools (5 primary, 1 post-primary), in Killinarden, Tallaght,
Dublin, **Apply on the website**. We deliver targeted interventions
and programmes to vulnerable children. By building positive trusting
relationships, we encourage our children to reach their full potential
by staying within the Education System.

YOU WILL HAVE

* A recognized Third Level Qualification in one of the following
areas,
Social Science, Social Care, Youth & Community, Education & Teaching
or a related Course.
* Ability to develop and deliver targeted programmes to meet the
needs of our students.
* Knowledge of Manualised and Evidence based programmes used with
young people.
* Experience of working supportively with young people either in one
to one or group settings
* Experience of working with marginalized families and young people
at risk.
* Excellent IT, communications and organizational skills.

PROJECT?WORKER?ROLE

_Flexibility is a key requirement of School Completion work.Under the
guidance & supervision of the SCP Co-ordinator, you will_

* Provide direct support to the targeted young people in various
clubs and activities
* Identify the needs of the students and develop appropriate
interventions.
* Contribute to the design, implementation and evaluation of
structured work with targeted children.
* Build trusting relationships with target students and families in
conjunction with the HSCL Teacher and other school staff
* Assist in the organisation and delivery of in-school, out of
school, after school and holiday time supports for the targeted young
people.
* Liaise with all relevant agencies to ensure maximum positive
outcomes for the targeted students.
* Assist in the evaluation, review and future planning of SCP
supports.
* Comply with Killinarden SCP guidelines in relation to report
writing and record keeping
* Undertake additional tasks from time to time as identified by the
SCP Co-ordinator.

SALARY:?Salary will be in the region of ?**Apply on the

successful candidate may be offered a further **Apply on the website**

satisfactory performance, continued funding and the future needs of
the Project.
