THE ORGANISATION

Leixlip Youth Premises Group CLG?s mission is to be a positive focal

young people and the wider local community in an all-inclusive way
through the provision of space which supports the promotion of
participation in, social, intellectual, educational and recreational

ABOUT THE CENTRE

* The Leixlip Youth & Community Centre is a busy facility and offers
a wide range of weekly activities and classes - leisure, fitness,
educational and recreational activities, as well as youth clubs and
parent toddler groups. We have rooms available for community groups,
training, classes, afterschool activities, health + fitness classes
and more.
* ?The Centre is the only facility of its size and scope serving
the entire Leixlip community, and comprises of a modern youth room,
large hall with kitchen facilities, coffee shop as well as offices
with long term tenants located in Newtown House building. For more

THE ROLE

THE CENTRE SUPERVISOR is responsible for overseeing the operational
management of the Centre.

REPORTING TO: Board of Management

week

LOCATION: We are located on a campus beside Leixlip Library in Confey,
Leixlip.

The ideal candidate will relish a new challenge, thrive on working in
a small team environment. They will have strong organisational skills,
time management, administrative, computer literacy/IT and report
writing skills. Flexibility and a strong teamwork ethic are a must. A
good understanding or knowledge of the workings of community and
voluntary organisations would be an advantage.

PERSON SPECIFICATION ? KEY COMPETENCIES

* ?Pragmatic and practical approach to managing the workload within
a small organization
* ?Ability to work on own initiative and as a member of a team.
* ?Commitment to working with integrity, following policies and
procedures at all times.
* ?Strong written and oral communication skills including report
writing with exceptional attention to detail.
* ?Managing finances (budgets and expenditure) for a small
organization or large project, including monitoring of funding and
processing payments.
* ?Initiative, good judgment and analytical skills.
* ?A high level of IT skills including MS Office and Google Suite,
being able to learn to use new software/apps
* ?Excellent interpersonal & communication skills and the ability
to build relationships with key stakeholders internal and external.
* ?Be able to multi-task and to work to deadlines.
* ?A commitment to the role and value of the community and
voluntary sector.

DUTIES

You will be required to perform duties as specified below and as
outlined to you at interview and any other duties which may be
assigned to you from time to time as appropriate to your position and
qualifications, however core duties will be as follows:

SUPERVISOR/ADMINISTRATION/ACCOUNTS

* ?Support the overall day-to-day operation of the Centre.
* ?Supervision of staff and volunteers ensuring systems and
procedures are implemented and followed.
* ?Assign weekly rosters, sign off on timesheets, annual leave
requests, track absences, sick leave etc.
* ?Recruitment and induction of volunteers.
* ?Maintain Payroll systems, Revenue returns.
* ?Maintenance of online accounts system Surf Accounts including
invoicing, issuing receipts for all monies received, preparing bank
lodgements, control of petty cash, banking online.
* ?Financial management, income and expenditure reports, liaison
with Treasurer(s) and Secretary.
* ?Maintain for company accounts.
* ?Procurement of goods and services within budget.
* ?Oversee budget, month end accounts, bank lodgements.
* ?Preparation and submission of grant applications, reporting and
Pobal Returns.
* ?Monthly reports to the Board.

DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS

* ?Acting as first point of contact for Centre, Meet and greet
public/visitors as required.
* ?To support customers and users of the Centre in a polite and
responsible manner.
* ?Maintain diary of activities, record systems, keeping all admin
files/information resources up to date.
* ?Organising and coordinating office operations and procedures.
* ?Manage the relationships with a range of key users and liaising
with user groups, coordinate the rental of rooms ensuring Insurance is
produced indemnifying LYPG.
* ?Pobal and other grant funding agreements kept up to date with
full compliance requirements of each funder.
* ?To ensure the building that it is managed and maintained so that
the Centre is compliant with health and safety standards.
* ?Marketing and Business development of Centre including social
media accounts and website.
* ?Identify procedures to improve the efficiency in the
administration of the Centre.
* ?Supervision of the Centre as required including opening and
closing, setting alarms.
* ?To carry out general reception duties including dealing with
customer queries, telephone duties, assist with photocopying,
directing the public on using the computer and giving assistance as
required.

The hours of operation of the Centre are between 8.**Apply on the
website**am and 9.**Apply on the website**pm covering Monday to
Saturday (and Sundays on occasion). Flexibility in approach to working
hours is necessary as the assigned working week may include hours in
the evenings and at weekends. The working hours will be subject to
alteration having regard to public demand for the use of the facility.
