Cork Anti Poverty Resource Network (CAPRN) have a vacancy for the
position of a Part time Deputy Supervisor to work in one of their
projects - Pa?st? @ No.3 Childcare Facility. CAPRN are a
community-based organisation who aim to encourage, and empower
individuals to become active agents in shaping their own lives and
communities. Currently, CAPRN is responsible for five Cork
community-based projects, which consist of:

? Write Together: Adult Literacy Scheme.
? Mn? Feasa: Domestic Violence Project.
? Women Supporting Women: A Mentoring Programme for Women Parenting
Alone.
? P?isti @ No.3: Childcare facility.
? Cork City North Mature Women?s Action Group: Collective of
Mature women working towards change.

stimulating environment, which embraces all children and their

in children?s all-round development. We aim to advance the learning

VACANCY FOR A PART-TIME DEPUTY SUPERVISOR.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Qqi level 6 / 7
* Advanced/Higher Certificate (Preferred)

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

To act as a positive role model and be responsible for the delivery
and implementation of a high-quality play-based curriculum under the
guidance of the national quality frameworks Aistear and S?olta. To
guide, observe, stimulate and supervise children in a safe and caring
environment as part of the childcare team.

CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* To work within the ethos, aims, and objectives of Pa?st? @ No.3
* To assist the Childcare Supervisor in ensuring the service is
fully compliant with all governing regulations and standards.
* To adhere to the policies and procedures of the service at all
times.
* To conduct observation and learning stories for all children.
* To organise materials and resources to ensure that they reflect
the children?s emerging interests and abilities.
* To implement a play-based curriculum that encourages independence
and fosters the growth of self-esteem within all children.
* To support children?s emotional, social and cognitive
development.
* To develop and support parental involvement strategies that
enhance children?s learning experiences
* Participate in reviews and evaluations of the service along with
other staff and management
* Undertake any other relevant tasks as may be required from time to
time by the management team

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

* Knowledge in administration, Pobal , The National Childcare Scheme
( NCS) and Early Years hive portal, book keeping, DES Quality
Inspections,
* Rich knowledge of Pobal NCS And Ecce
* Commitment to high-quality early education
* The ability to work in collaboration with a dedicated team
* Highly motivated to work on own initiative
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A professional and enthusiastic disposition
* Flexible and adaptable
* Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development
* Ability to demonstrate leadership & organisational skills.
* Report writing and administration skills, familiar with recording
income and expenditure
* Garda Vetting will be required as part of the recruitment process
on an ongoing basis.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

* A Level 6/7 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education is
essential
* A number of years? experience working in an Early Years setting
is essential
