contract, mainly remote/virtual working with some travel within Dublin
and nationally expected.

JOB PURPOSE

As a member of a collective scheme, each Mark company is required to
abide by a number of terms and conditions in order to attain and
retain their membership. One of the conditions is to undergo an
initial assessment which audits the company?s management system,
looking for areas of potential non-conformity which would need to be
addressed prior to certification. BITCI follow an audit based approach
to conduct this assessment against the BWR Standard (V4:**Apply on the
website** or V5:**Apply on the website**). This opportunity is to work
as part of a team, conducting management system audits virtually
(possibly in person) and reporting the results in accordance with
BITCI?s policies and procedures. The role could potentially involve
travel to client sites.

Responsibly Mark (?the Mark?) is the leading standard for
sustainability. It fosters a culture of continuous improvement,
ongoing accountability and leadership.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

* Communicate and clarify audit requirements
* Plan and carry out assigned audits
* Document the audit findings / observations and create details
reports on audit results
* Communicate audit results in a professional, objective, and clear
manner both in person/virtual and on paper
* Follow up and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions taken
as a result of audit
* Retention and safeguarding of documents pertaining to the audit
? ensuring they remain confidential.
* Treat privileged information with discretion
* Mentor BITCI Executive Support to develop their auditing
capabilities
* Provide feedback and advice to the Mark Manager regarding the
incorporation of relevant audit standards, frameworks, and best
practices into the auditing process
* Represent the organisation externally through speaking, writing
articles, government meetings / submissions and media engagement.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL:

* In-depth expertise in and a thorough knowledge of Management System
and hands on audit experience (e.g. ISO) developed through a third
level degree, or a similar qualification in a relevant discipline,
and/or through relevant experience within industry and/or
non-profit/NGOs
* Minimum of three years? experience of working in audit or
related function
* Strong organisational, analytical, communication and writing
skills
* The ability to work independently and exercise objectivity
* The ability to work collaboratively as a team member
* The ability to coach and mentor others in audit practices

DESIRABLE:

* Ideally hold a postgraduate specialisation in audit or related area
* Knowledge of environmental/social auditing to standards (including

* Experience of delivering audit or continuous improvement training
* Experience of applying best practice standards including relevant
ISO standards
* Knowledge of the UN Sustainable Development Goals GRI, and other
global frameworks
