The focus of our work lies in family-strengthening interventions, both
in community based, and out of home care settings.
Compass Child and Family Services is a non-for profit organisation
working with children, adolescents and their families with a view to
strengthen their individual and collective functioning as a family.
Our?philosophy of working with young people and their families has a
strong underpinning and is guided by principles of the continental
European Model of Social Pedagogy.
We are currently recruiting Support Pedagogues (Social Care Worker)
for an out of home care setting based in Ballina, and Donohill, Co
Tipperary. This service is a Young Person?s Residential home
designed to care for children with challenging behaviour and complex
needs.
The overall role of the Social Pedagogue is to provide a safe,
nurturing and stimulating environment, using a relationship focused
model of care and implementing the learning aspects associated with
the principles of Social Pedagogy.
