STAFF NURSE
Full time or Part time Permanent Contract
Tullow, Co. Carlow
We are recruiting for the above position providing support to adults
in a Day setting with Intellectual Disabilities in C?irdeas Centre
CLG Tullow, Co Carlow.
The successful candidate must be committed to providing the highest
standard of services in support of adults to live satisfying,
fulfilling and interesting lives. The role will require flexible
working hours to reflect the needs of the Service User.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
* Be on the current register of An Bord Altranais and RNID trained.
* Have an understanding or experience in working within a regulatory
environment.
* Have a strong interest and /or experience in working with adults
with an intellectual disability.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal, organisational,
and initiative skills.
* Understanding of Advocacy, Human Rights and Risk Management
concepts.
* Have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of National Standards
of the New Directions for Adults with Disabilities and relevant
legislation pertinent to support of adults (PCP and Care Plans).
* Demonstrate sound knowledge and social model practice in support
of adults.
* Be able to guide and coach care assistants in providing care to
the service users.
* A full clean driving license.
