ROLE PURPOSE/ SUMMARY
This role has responsibility for contributing to the effective
planning, development and implementation of national programmes for
social inclusion and labour market activation that benefit from
co-financing under the European Structural & Investment Funds (ESIF).
The central focus of the role is on ensuring effective compliance for
national programmes under ESI fund rules and regulations. At times,
this may involve a wider monitoring and information provision brief
for programme management activity at Pobal following from social
inclusion and active labour market policies at EU level. In addition,
occasional representation on behalf of Pobal at EU and national fora
may be required.
The Programme Planning and Development Unit designs funding programmes
and their associated application and appraisal systems. It is also
responsible for detailing how best a particular programme should be
operated across the various business units and functions in the
company and documents this in a Service Agreement. A service agreement
defines exactly what Pobal will do for a Funder in return for a fee.
