AT IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING A PART-TIME HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT TO ASSIST
A MAN WITH DISABILITY TO LIVE AN INDEPENDENT LIFE.
?iseanna Taca?ochta (?T) provides leadership and support to people
with disabilities to live with the independence, choice and freedom
they are entitled to. For the first time in Ireland, we facilitate
Direct Payments to people with disabilities, enabling them to take
control of their own budgets, their own services and, ultimately,
their own lives.
The Health Care Assistant is required to assist a man with physical
disability in all aspect of daily living in his own home. The
successful candidate will receive training and development in line
with the role. The position involves joining a team of Health Care
Assistants, guided by a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM2) and the
individual?s family. This role is suitable for highly motivated and
reliable individual who is committed to providing care and supporting
someone to live an independent life in their community.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Position ? Health Care Assistant (**Apply on the website**am to 8pm
weekdays/weekends)
Location ? Navan, Co. Meath
Salary : DOE
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
* Providing personal care to the individual.
* Assistance to appointments and social activities.
* Providing support to the individual with communication tools
* To undertake other work that may be assigned from time to time.
ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE :
* FETAC Level 5 in Health Care
* People Moving and Handling Experience
* A good knowledge of infection control measures and good hygiene
practices
DESIRABLE FOR THE ROLE
* Experience of working with adults with tracheostomy and ventilation
* Experience of working in a home care setting
* Full Clean driving Licence
* An understanding of disability and Independent Living
