COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT SUPERVISOR

Blanchardstown Traveller Development Group is a joint initiative
between Traveller and Settled communities living in the Dublin **Apply
on the website** and surrounding areas. The project aims to promote
the welfare and human rights of Travellers and to combat social
exclusion faced by them. The project has evolved over the years and is
currently a well-established resource working from community
development principles.

We would like to recruit a Full Time Community Employment Supervisor
who will be responsible for the overall running of the Community
Employment Project.

CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

* A Major 3rd Level qualification (NFQ Level 6 or higher) in
Business/Financial Administration, Training, Human Resources, Project
Management or related discipline.
* At least 3 years Supervisory experience
* Have strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and
manage workloads and meet agreed targets
* The ability to build and maintain relationships including
negotiation skills and conflict resolution
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills with the
ability to lead and manage people/teams
* Flexibility, adaptability and openness to working effectively with
all stakeholders and achieve results through collaborative working
* At least 2 years experience of working with Travellers

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

* The business and financial management of the project
* Providing supervision and support as directed by the Sponsor
* Sourcing cost effective training/development opportunities to meet
the training needs identified in participant?s Individual Learning
Plans
* Ensuring that the Community Employment project is compliant with
financial, programme and training monitoring requirements as detailed
in relevant CE procedure
* Organising meaningful work experience for participants in line
with BTDG?s Strategic plan
* Reporting on a monthly basis to the Sponsor
* Any other tasks that may be required.
