POSITION TITLE: SOCIAL CARE WORKER

PROGRAMME: Crosscare In-Reach Service

THE EMPLOYER: Crosscare, Clonliffe College, Dublin 3. Crosscare is the
social care agency of the Dublin Diocese and is a registered charity.
Crosscare delivers services with a servant leadership ethos.
The Crosscare In-Reach service is based in a pre-reception centre for
asylum seekers and refugees. The service works to support refugees and
asylum seekers living in Ireland. The service supports both
individuals and families.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time **Apply on the website**.5 Hours per week
7 day rota (including evening & weekends ? Days )

CONTRACTS: 6 month fixed term contract

LOCATION: Crosscare?s In-reach service, Clonshaugh, Co. Dublin

REPORTS TO: Project Leader /Deputy Project Leader

ROLE PURPOSE:

To provide a critical In-Reach service to Asylum seekers and Ukrainian
refugees staying in the hotel. We are committed to delivering the
highest standard of care possible and working closely with other
colleagues in Tusla, safetynet, IPO, IPAS and the department of social
protection to ensure that each individual receives adequate medical
care, support with the asylum process and to support Ukrainian
refugees with their status.

THE ROLE:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Welcoming families and individuals to the pre-reception centre
* Support families to engage with local communities and schools
* To engage with and build professional trusting relationships with
each individual and family, treating them with dignity and respect,
and working within the values of Crosscare
* To carry out all duties connected with the operation of the
in-reach service, resolving conflict, responding to health issues, and
engaging with families.
* To arrange child-minding support for families when required.
* Follow reporting policy & procedures regarding Child Protection
concerns
* To liaise with and advocate to a broad range of external service
providers in addition to internal services
* To work effectively as part of a team and being open to reasonable
requests from management in order to ensure effective working
relationships and responses to those living in the hotel.
* To work within the policies of Crosscare and the standard
operating procedures of the project

_General_

* To assist and contribute to the quality agenda in order to ensure
that a consistent delivery of service and quality standards are
adhered to in the project
* To perform all the administrative duties relating to the role in
order to ensure that the project runs smoothly
* Record keeping and data entry on salesforce.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum BA in Applied Social Care, Addiction, Mental Health,
Nursing, Psychology (or equivalent) Level 7 awarded by the National
Qualifications Framework (NQF) QQI
* A minimum of 1 year relevant employment working with vulnerable
and disadvantaged groups, within the homeless sector or community
development/youth work sector
* Child Protection Training
