FINANCE MANAGER

VOICE Ireland is an environmental charity, focusing on the wise use of
resources, waste prevention and recycling, the promotion of the
circular economy and advocating for zero waste. We work on both
national and EU policy as well as advocating for behavioural change
through local engagement through public awareness campaigns and

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager who will manage all
our financial transactions, including invoicing, payroll, membership,
provide internal and external financial reports, audit preparation and
ensure VOICE is compliant with financial governance requirements. The
successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a new
accounting system and Charities SORP. Candidates should be comfortable
with using the following software packages ? Accounting Software
such Accounts IQ /TAS Books, Sage Payroll, Excel, Access, Outlook,
Word etc.

ACCOUNTS

* Running the day-to-day financial operations within the company
(payroll, invoicing, and other transactions)
* Managing the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and
reporting systems
* Ensuring an accurate and timely monthly payment run
* Preparing monthly bank reconciliations
* Preparing and monitoring voice budget(s) in conjunction with
campaign leads and the VOICE Chief Executive
* Providing management and financial information to the VOICE Board
and VOICE Team
* Managing the annual audit and liaising with the Auditors to
provide all the information necessary for the preparation of the
annual accounts in a timely and efficient manner.
* Developing financial processes and systems to provide improvements
and efficiencies.
* Supporting the team with any ad hoc financial queries

PAYROLL

* Managing the company Payroll System
* Completing the monthly payroll accurately and efficiently in
compliance with payroll regulations.
* Calculating and completing other Revenue forms / payroll tasks as
needed
* Liaising with staff on payroll related queries

OFFICE

* Managing and supporting the office administrator
* Maintaining the subscribers / members database and providing
labels for annual newsletter
* Supporting the VOICE Chief Executive when issuing new Employee
Contracts and as required
* Assisting with strategy development and general business and
process improvements

GOVERNANCE:

* Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory finance
requirements including Charities Governance Code and SORP for
Charities
* Ensuring adherence to VOICE policies and procedures in the
day-to-day operations of the Finance Function

SYSTEMS:

* Managing of accounting and payroll software
* Implementing a new accounting system to meet the requirements of
Charities SORP
* Managing Members Database

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

* A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA,
CIMA, etc.)
* Minimum of two years relevant work experience.
* Strong track record of delivering high quality work on time.
* Ability to work unsupervised and to prioritise competing demands
* Experience in using accounting software
* Experience in using payroll software. (SAGE an advantage)
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel and Access.
(Intermediate to advanced level)
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

DESIRABLE SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE:

* Experience of Charities Governance Code and SORP accounting
standards and practice
* Experience of GDPR Guidelines
* Experience implementing an accounting system
* Experience of liaising with Auditors
* Experience of budgeting, forecasting and providing management
information
* Experience working in Not For Profit organisation
