Youth Horizons: Cr?che Manager
Youth Horizons offers an alternative environment to students who wish
to complete their Leaving Certificate. The cr?che serves both the
students and the wider community of Tallaght. We offer a play-based
approach to early learning while incorporating the needs and interests
of the children. The service is a small full day care service catering
for a maximum of **Apply on the website** children and operates for

calendar.

POSITION: Cr?che manager required from the end of August **Apply on

TERMS: Term-time contract, **Apply on the website** hours per week

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:

* Minimum level 7/8 qualification in Early Childhood Care and
Education
* Minimum 3 years? experience in Early Education
* Management, leadership or supervisory experience within an Early
Education setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Responsive to the needs of the children and their families
* Knowledge and training in Child Protection
* Knowledge of the relevant regulations and legislation
* Working knowledge of the NCS scheme a distinct advantage
* The ability to complete child development referrals if needed
* The ability to lead the pedagogy within a small team of educators
* Have initiative to address any needs within the service
* Good computer skills

JOB DESCRIPTION:

* Day to day management of rosters and ratios
* Working within the room with the ECCE group in the morning,
leading the learning of the group, documenting their development and
extending their play to meet their developing needs
* Maintaining records regarding children, staff, Pobal and Tusla
* Maintaining files in relation to HACCP, cleaning procedures, fire
safety, and risk assessments
* Liaise with outside stakeholders such as Tusla and Barnardos
* Maintaining a high standard within the environment
* Support and supervise other educators within the team to achieve
goals including mentoring staff that are on the CE scheme
* Organise and hold monthly staff meetings
* Ensure the health and safety of children is paramount at all times
* Update policies and procedures as needed
* Work alongside others within the organisation of Youth Horizons

Salary is depending on experience and qualifications.

Garda vetting will be required once position is offered.
