SOUTH EAST COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE mental health services serves both an
urban and rural communities. The services are working towards
developing a strong recovery oriented practice approach to service
delivery and service user engagement. The service is largely comprised
of Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) that aim to offer support to
people and their supporters in their own home and approved centres
that provide inpatient services. SOUTH EAST COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE
mental health services are working towards implementing the principles
outlined in the HSE National Framework for Recovery Mental Health

SOUTH EAST COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE Mental Health service is partnering
with Mental Health Ireland to continue to develop, deliver and embed
recovery education in the services. This initiative aims to promote an
educational approach to recovery in mental health. It will do this
through the development and delivery of coproduced content in
community settings and elsewhere, with a clear emphasis on attending
to narrative, building relationships and harnessing high quality adult
learning. Recovery education is where those with first hand
experiences of using mental health services, become partners in the
development and delivery of recovery focused education, alongside
family supporters and staff that provide the services.

Mental Health Ireland, in collaboration with HSE South East Community
Health Care Adult Mental Health Services is recruiting A PEER RECOVERY
EDUCATOR (EITHER ONE FULL TIME OR TWO PART TIME POSITIONS) 2 years
fixed term contract.

The post holder will assist services in achieving targets set out in
the HSE National Framework for Recovery Mental Health (**Apply on the
website**). This post will be based in the South East Community
Healthcare area of Waterford, Wexford and Kilkenny.

Applicants will have a strong and demonstrable commitment to recovery
informed by lived or family member mental health experience and 2
years experience working in a relevant field. The successful candidate
must demonstrate:

* _Experience of group facilitation training and /or education or
similar engagement process with adult learners, service users and
family members as relevant to this role._
* _A track record and demonstrable competence in the support and
development of projects and new initiatives that promote positive
mental health._
* _Experience of working collaboratively with internal and external
stakeholders as relevant to this role._

This position is a Grade IV, 2 years fixed term contract of **Apply on

working hours which will necessitate some attendance at out of hours
meetings/events related to the duties of a Peer Educator?
