For?ige is the National Youth Development Organisation, which
promotes and fosters youth development through the operation of
various youth services in urban and rural areas throughout the
country. For?ige is currently recruiting for the following position:
YOUTH WORKER WITH ADDITIONAL SENIOR RESPONSIBILITIES.
PROJECT SUMMARY
The Cavan town UBU Youth Service, a new youth service, is funded by
the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and
Youth (DCEDIY) under the UBU Your Place Your Space funding scheme
through Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board. UBU Your
Place Your Space youth services allows young people to access
out-of-school supports in their local communities to enable them to
achieve their full potential by strengthening their personal and
social development outcomes.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING ESSENTIAL
REQUIREMENTS;
* Education to Degree (Level 7 or above) standard preferably in Youth
Work/ Drugs & Alcohol / Health Promotion Work / Leadership and
Management
* Experience in establishing, leading and coordinating new projects,
services and innovative responses to youth needs
* A good knowledge and understanding of UBU rules
* Access to car and full driving licence
* Experience in recruiting similar target group
* Programme design experience
* Experience in facilitating evidence based programmes
