Ais?ir? provides residential and community based addiction treatment
service for adults and young people. Our services include detox,
primary and secondary residential treatment, a continuum of care
programme and a community based education and training programme.

The Social Enterprise Manager will be responsible for the development,
implementation, coordination and promotion of Ais?ir??s social
enterprise.

This is a new position within Ais?ir? and will involve the setup of
a new social enterprise to operate within the context of our addiction
treatment service.

Our vision is to establish a green and sustainable Social Enterprise
that produces quality craft based products, an enterprise that has
minimal negative impact on the environment but rather focuses on
having a positive impact on the local and global environment &
economy.

The position is funded through Pobals Kickstart Programme with a focus
on supporting men and women with criminal convictions to access
meaningful training, work experience and paid work opportunities.

We are hoping to hear from candidates who are creative and business
minded, who can lead the enterprise from a product idea to production.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for a creative individual,
keen to demonstrate initiative in an organisation working to address
one of the key social issues in Ireland.

The role will be varied

KEY ELEMENTS:

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

* Prepare Business plans, strategies and public relations materials
in line with the organisations and funders requirements with support
from the Development team.
* Securing new funding streams to support with product development,
employment opportunities and to sustain the role of Social Enterprise
Manager ? this might include identifying grant opportunities and
social enterprise support programmes.
* Network & represent the organisation locally and national at
meetings, events and conferences.
* Develop a brand concept and brand awareness.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

* Product identification and execution and sales.
* Preparing, managing, monitoring, and spending of budget and income
generation.
* Supporting target group with work readiness opportunities.
* Collaborate and work with the staff team, attend meetings and
trainings and complete reporting requirements.
* Adhere to best practice and reporting criteria as required by the
funders.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:

* Have a minimum level 8 degree in a relevant discipline.
* Have relevant experience in Management ? Project management and
management and supporting people.
* Be exceptionally innovative, visionary and resourceful.
* Be committed to establishing a green business and committed to an
environmentally friendly approach.
* Enjoy networking and building relationships and supports for the
Project.
* Have experience in Social Enterprise or can demonstrate experience
in a similar setting.
* Be familiar with National Social Enterprise Strategies and
policies particularly those in place to support people with criminal
histories.
* Knowledge and commitment for supporting marginalised groups such
as people in recovery from addiction or people with criminal
histories.
* Have knowledge of the challenges that the target group would
experience when applying for work and the competencies to support them
through a process of work readiness.
* Be a strong team player who enjoys working in a fast paced
environment. They will have excellent communications skills (written
and oral) and strong IT Skills, including Microsoft Office **Apply on

* Highly motivated person with a passion for motivating others and
committed to the mission and vision of the organisation.
* Ideally have skills in sales, marketing.
