Women?s Collective Ireland (WCI) is a national women?s community
development organisation advancing marginalised women?s equality
through women?s community development. WCI represents and works
directly with women experiencing disadvantage, through our **Apply on

structures. Our work on the ground is central and fundamental and
shapes all our collective actions.
WCI invites applications from suitably qualified, enthusiastic, and
self-motivated individuals for the WCI Liffey Valley position.
Employed by the WCI Board of Management, the WCI Liffey Valley
Coordinator will be responsible for the effective day to day running,
management and development of WCI Liffey Valley, and will implement
the aims, objectives and agreed areas of work outlined in the
Strategic Plan in line with WCI National Work Plans. The WCI
Coordinator will be part of a national organisation working in
partnership with the other WCI Projects to support disadvantaged
women?s empowerment and advance equality.
Initial work of the coordinator will be to develop a staff team, carry
out an extensive needs analysis to identify key requirements for the
work of the Project and advise the Board on the direction and
development of the future work of WCI Liffey Valley. This is an
excellent opportunity for a competent and experienced person to play a
pivotal role in shaping the development of WCI Liffey Valley to meet
the identified needs and in building the recognition of WCI Liffey
Valley a key resource for grassroots women.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* A relevant third level qualification or equivalent
* A minimum of 3 years? experience in community development
coordination which includes working with women's groups and related
issues.
* Strong staff management experience
* Experience of collaborating with diverse stakeholders and relating
to diverse groups and individuals including conflict management
* An understanding of grassroots feminism and the ability to use a
community development approach, be a reflective practitioner and to
operate from feminist principles
* Excellent communication, coordination and report writing skills
* The ability to maintain the ethos of WCI across staff,
participants, and volunteers.
* Own transport essential
