FAIRTRADE IRELAND: PART-TIME SENIOR ORGANISATIONAL SYSTEMS SUPPORT
OFFICER (3 DAYS A WEEK)

REPORTING TO: Executive Director

LOCATION: Dublin, some work from home by agreement

SALARY: Negotiable depending on experience

BACKGROUND

Fairtrade Ireland works to promote fair trading practices between
Ireland and developing countries. It is a founder member of Fairtrade
International.

Fairtrade Ireland is a not-for-profit non-governmental organisation

include: Fairtrade business development and education and advocacy to
raise public awareness of Fairtrade in Ireland.

FUNCTION

The functions of the job are to;

* support the implementation of organisational systems and platforms
across a range of activity areas including; administration systems,
technical platforms, reporting and compliance systems
* support the Executive Director with delivery of specific
project-based work as agreed

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Support implementation of key organisational systems and platforms.
These systems include; office management and information systems,
(Microsoft **Apply on the website**) databases, project management
system, Salesforce CRM, and identify others as necessary.
* Coordinate specific project activities to enhance organisational
performance, compliance and governance. These project activities can
include, identifying training supports, internal report writing,
liaison with statuary bodies and project collaboration with colleagues
internationally.
* Liaise with a small number of colleagues to ensure the
Organisational System Support work is both aligned supporting the
organisations objectives and strategies.
* Liaise with relevant service provides and colleagues in other
Fairtrade organisations on systems innovation and implementation.
* Some office administration tasks required

Other duties as may be required by the Manager.

KEY COMPETENCIES

Essential:

* Fluent knowledge of main electronic systems and platforms (see
above)
* Quick learner with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes
* Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative
* Excellent people, communication and influencing skills
* Adaptive and flexible in handling multiple priorities

Desirable:

* Openness, passion and sectoral expertise

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Qualifications-

* Relevant third level qualification required and/or relevant work
experience

Experience-

Essential

* 5 (+) years specific job-related knowledge and experience and/or
other relevant sector knowledge.
* Track record of managing of organisational performance, compliance
and/or governance related work.
* An ability to work in a high-pressure environment
* Good working knowledge of the voluntary and NGO sector
* Experience of working in a small flexible team
* Understanding of Fairtrade issues including development and trade

Desirable

* A high degree of emotional intelligence
* A track record of volunteering in the voluntary/NGO sector
* A proven passion for social and environmental justice

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

* Some travel requirements
* Full driving license with access to a vehicle an advantage
* Some evening and weekend work required
* Availability to work flexible hours
