COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WORKER

Northstar Family Support Project is a community-based organisation
providing non-judgemental, confidential support to families who are
affected by, and trying to cope with, a family member?s substance
misuse.
The role of the Community Development Worker is to support and work in
close collaboration with the Coordinator and team to implement the
organisations aims and objectives as specified in the Strategic Plan.
THE PERSON WILL HAVE:
* Two years? experience of working within a community setting
(paid/voluntary)
* Knowledge of the issues relating to families effected by a loved
one?s substance misuse
* Excellent inter-personal skills, sensitivity, and ability to work
on own initiative.
* Experience of community based direct work with people over the age

community development/family support/addiction studies or a related
field
