FUNDRAISING OFFICER

MIGRANT RIGHTS CENTRE IRELAND (MRCI)

MRCI works to advance the rights of migrant workers and their families
at risk of exploitation, social exclusion, and discrimination. Founded

market and immigration system, in low-paid, precarious sectors of
employment - homecare, agri-food, cleaning and in restaurants. We work
to empower people at risk of exploitation, bullying and harassment to
take collective action to deliver their rights.

FUNDRAISING OFFICER

MRCI is seeking a highly motivated Fundraising Officer, who is keen to
develop their fundraising career and join our passionate, diverse, and
winning team. This exciting new role will be responsible for nurturing
our supporters, community members, public donations, major donors and
enhancing opportunities for people to financially support the work of
MRCI. This role will showcase impact and grow awareness of the
essential work we do. The role will also support funding applications.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will be a driven and enthusiastic person with excellent
interpersonal skills. You will have an ability to build relationships
with a variety of stakeholders and donors. You will have knowledge of
communications and content development for fundraising. You will be
creative and innovative in leading fundraising campaigns, be tech
savvy and understand donor care. You will be committed to the rights
of migrant workers and their families.

THE ROLE

Is to develop and roll out sustainable fundraising strategies to meet
MRCI’s annual fundraising targets. This will include maintaining and
growing our existing donor-base, securing new once off and recuring
donors, supporting and growing MRCI’s annual fundraising events.
Reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager you will;

* Develop and implement a fundraising plan to deliver annual
fundraising targets
* Communicate the impact of MRCI’s success to build profile and
awareness with the public
* Innovate and lead fundraising campaigns, utilising social media,
with creative and engaging content
* Lead the integration of MRCI’s donor IT systems to ensure
quality donor care
* Enhance MRCI’s donor care package including follow up and
problem-solving donor fall offs
* Monitor MRCI’s website from a fundraising viewpoint and ensure
its potential as a fundraising tool is maximised
* Organise and lead the production of fundraising promotional
materials as required
* Grow engagement with MRCI’s supporters and increase one off and
recuring donations
* Lead out on annual fundraising events - Challenge for Change and
Annual Gala
* Ensure MRCI's fundraising strategy growth is aligned with our core
values
* Prepare regular progress reports and evaluations of overall
fundraising performance
* Identify future funding opportunities including grants, and
collaborate with staff to submit funding applications
* Lead MRCI’s Fundraising Working Group

PERSON SPECIFICATION

_ESSENTIAL CRITERIA_

* Have at least one to two-year experience in a fundraising role
* Qualification in fundraising, sales, marketing, or a related field
* Experience of donor care, customer service and relationship
management in fundraising
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* High level of computer literacy - MS Office, Salesforce, WordPress
etc
* Ability to problem-solve, innovate, and take risks in the delivery
of fundraising
* Strong team working focus with a flexible and adaptable approach
* Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet tight deadlines
* Commitment to anti-racism, equality, and values of MRCI

_DESIRABLE CRITERIA_

* Experience of funding through Mailchimp, Facebook, Instagram, and
Twitter
* Experience of developing multi-annual fundraising plans
* Experience of grant writing and reporting
* Competence in other languages

SALARY AND BENEFITS

* Full time 5 days, and possibility of 4-day pro-rata option
(negotiable)
* This is a hybrid working role with some days per week required in
office.
