Irish business to maximise its positive impact on all its
stakeholders. It is a non-profit organisation specialising in advice
and guidance to leading companies on corporate responsibility and
corporate community involvement.

By working with businesses in Ireland, we make an impact on education
nationally and in local communities. We work with Ireland?s leading
companies on addressing key educational issues. From tackling the
retention rate in post primary schools and improving literacy and
numeracy skills for young children to fostering a pipeline of talent
and training educators, we work with hundreds of companies and schools
all over Ireland to create mutually beneficial and lasting
partnerships. Funding for our work is from participating businesses,
sponsors, and Government.

JOB TITLE: Business Development, Education Team
JOB PURPOSE: To recruit companies to meet the growth targets for Time
to Read and Time to Count as part of new funding **Apply on the
website**. The role has a nationwide remit with a concentration in the
main urban areas.
REPORTING TO: Head of Education
DIRECT REPORTS: None

JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Responsibilities:

* Research appropriate business networks whose members would be best
placed to participate in literacy and numeracy educational support
programmes
* Meet with representatives of networks/attend network meetings to
promote the programmes
* Research the business landscape to identify potential companies to
engage
* Meet prospective business decision makers
* Recruit businesses to participate in school year **Apply on the

* Engage with BITC colleagues to identify potential companies
* Report progress to Head of Education on regular basis.
* Maintain efficient records of recruitment work
* Update the SBP team on recruitment progress as appropriate
* To actively contribute to a healthy, safe, secure and productive
working environment

* Other such duties as may be required from time to time

PERSON SPECIFICATION

EXPERIENCE

* Strong in-depth knowledge and experience of Ireland?s business
sectors across a range of industries, particularly multi-national
sector, STEM industries, Finance and the indigenous sector
* Strongly networked in different industries
* Experience at Senior Executive level over a period of time
* Knowledge of the CSR landscape in Ireland
* Knowledge of the Irish educational system an advantage
* Experience of managing relationships with senior executives
* Proven track record of delivery of results to meet growth targets

SKILLS/ PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

* High level of communication skills - written, presentation,
influencing, oral and networking.
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Experience of Project Management
* Excellent Interpersonal skills
* Flexibility
* Fluency in English, both written and verbal is required
* A high level of proficiency in the range of MS Office **Apply on

Dynamics (or similar client management system) MS Teams, Zoom, etc.
