Early Childhood Ireland?s Research and Data Analysis (RDA) function
delivers on these organisational ambitions by:

* Facilitating our members to engage in practitioner enquiry and
action research, and conducting research with members to elicit their
experiences and expertise to achieve our ambitions
* Generating knowledge to enhance the quality of children?s
experiences in early years and school-age care settings and the
quality of the system within which members operate
* Using a theory of change approach, monitoring and evaluating Early
Childhood Ireland?s work for organisational learning and impact
assessment
* Supporting the use of research evidence on how best to improve the
quality of systems and services, pedagogy and practice for children,
internally and by members and stakeholders.

JOB TITLE: Research & Evaluation Manager.
REPORTS TO: Director of Research.
CONTRACT: Full-time, permanent.
LOCATION: The organisation is operating on a hybrid basis for the
foreseeable future. Our national office is based at Tallaght in South
County Dublin.

JOB PURPOSE

Working closely with the Director of Research, the successful
candidate will develop and lead a programme of research and evaluation
to underpin and advance Early Childhood Ireland?s _Strategic Plan

The Research and Evaluation Manager will work in a dedicated
multidisciplinary Research and Data Analytics function in Early
Childhood Ireland. In line with our Strategic Plan, this function was
established in January **Apply on the website**, providing the
successful candidate with a unique opportunity to shape and influence
applied early childhood and school-age care research in Ireland.

They will support all elements of the research and evaluation process,
from ideation to research design to impact assessment, including:

* reviewing and shaping the organisational research strategy
* generating, developing and communicating new research ideas to
contribute to achieving defined organisational impacts
* developing research projects and funding proposals and managing
commissioned research
* designing and managing internal monitoring and evaluation projects
and evaluating and reporting on the extent to which defined
organisational impacts have been achieved
* participating in developing new research partnerships and
maintaining existing partnerships
* ensuring that all research projects and outputs are of
consistently high quality and child impact focused.
