SOUTH EAST REGIONAL FAMILY SUPPORT NETWORK (SERFSN) CLG

JOB TITLE: CO-ORDINATOR (**APPLY ON THE WEBSITE**HOURS PER WEEK)

The South East Regional Family Support Network (SERFSN) is offering
this excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, positive, highly
organised and experienced person, with a community development
background, to provide leadership and support to a well-established
and successful Network. The Network has been delivering a valuable
peer support service for family members affected by problem substance
use of a relative in local communities over a ten-year period.

THE ROLE

The Co-ordinator will work in partnership with the Voluntary Board of
Directors, promoting a culture that reflects the values of the Network
and ensuring organisational effectiveness. The Co-ordinator will play
a key role in leading and implementing the organisation?s strategic
plan and the related developments as well as overseeing the ongoing
day to day management of the Network. The successful candidate will be
responsible for leading the Network?s peer support programme,
supporting and leading staff and a team of volunteers, whilst
maintaining the highest standards of service provision for family
members who access the service.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

* A 3rd level qualification in any of the following, Family Support
Practice, Community Development, Community Sector Project Management,
Social Care)

* A minimum of 3 years? experience, post qualification, in:

* community sector project management
* working through a community development approach
* family support in a community-based setting

* A minimum of 2 years? experience of effectively managing,
supervising, and supporting staff.
* Experience of working with a Voluntary Board of Directors &
Management.
* Experience of implementing a governance framework informed by best
practice
* Experience of working collaboratively at an inter-agency level
* Experience of Strategic and Operational Planning
* Demonstrable experience and competence in Financial Management (to
ensure the long-term financial viability of the Network)
* Excellent report writing and presentation skills
* Experience in developing & delivering training relevant to the
organisation
* Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to support a team of
voluntary facilitators.

PLANNING & ORGANISING SKILLS

* Demonstrate experience in the development and delivery of work
plans and achieving KPIs
* Demonstrate ability to plan and organise regional events
* Experience of effectively managing staff, office environment,
preparing work schedules, and ensuring best use of the staff skills.
* Ability to ensure that legal and other professional obligations of
the Network as a CLG and CHY are fulfilled.
* Experience of development & delivery of services in accordance
with the community development approach in the vision, mission, and
strategic direction of the organisation.
* Experience of implementation and further development of policies,
procedures and practices focusing on achieving high standards of
service delivery in line with best practice and quality standards for
the organisation.
* Excellent organisation and administrative skills

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND/OR KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

* Demonstrate knowledge of National Drug Strategies and the
implementation structure and procedure at regional & local level
* Advanced computer skills. Proficient in IT ? MS Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, experience with a Ecass database is desirable
* Experience of writing submissions and reports as required,
including statistical and financial analysis.
* Demonstrate ability to develop and deliver media promotion
campaigns.
* Experience & ability to work on own initiative and as team leader.
