Yana North Cork Domestic Violence Project: Relief Worker
APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR THE ROLE OF RELIEF WORKER FOR YANA TO
PROVIDE SUPPORT TO CLIENTS ACCESSING OUR SERVICE. THE ROLE IS A FIXED
TERM 5 MONTH CONTRACT FOR **APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOURS PER WEEK AND
HOURS CAN BE AGREED. OUR SERVICE IS OPEN MONDAY ? FRIDAY FROM 9AM
? 7PM.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* To commit to the objectives and ethos of Yana
* Must have competency in Word and Excel programs in order to keep
records up to date
* Liaising with external agencies and hard to reach sectors of the
community to promote the service.
* Work as part of a team, this includes attending team meetings and
team trainings as required.
* Work with clients on a one to one basis to offer non-judgemental
listening and advice regarding their options.
* Meet the unique needs of each women according to their
requirements.
* Working with agencies to provide support and assistance to women

DESIRABLE:

* Full Clean Driving License
* Previous experience working within a Domestic Abuse / homelessness
/ supported housing setting.
* Knowledge regarding Child Protection and Children First
