POSITION: FINANCE OFFICER (FULL-TIME)

LOCATION: This role is based in AONTAS, the National Adult Learning
Organisation, **Apply on the website** Main St, Ranelagh, Dublin 6,
D**Apply on the website** E0H1. AONTAS provides a flexible working
approach. Therefore, this role will allow for both at-home and
in-office working through a hybrid work model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Finance Officer will work directly with the Finance and
Administration Lead, to deliver the organisation?s financial
requirements through:

* Financial administration support including dealing with purchases
queries, sales queries, invoicing, supplier and customer payments in
Xero
* Keeping accurate records for all daily transactions
* Preparation of monthly reconciliations including bank, credit card
and petty cash
* Upkeep of monthly analyses
* Monthly review of aged debtors and creditors
* Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
* Prepare monthly, bi-annual and annual financial reports
* Participate in financial audits of Core funding and EU projects
* Assist with budget preparation
* Review and implement financial policies
* Financial administration support for EU Projects
* Other routine financial support as required by Finance and
Administration Lead

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

* Proven knowledge of book-keeping and financial tasks
* Strong knowledge of Xero and MS Office
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and
written

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

* Qualified Accountant for part-time role or
* Accredited Accounting Technician for full-time role
* At least two years? demonstrable experience of working in
finance

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

* Previous experience in a similar role

The work of the Research Officer requires some flexibility with some
unsocial hours and travel to deliver face-to-face focus groups around

AONTAS Head Office is located in Ranelagh, Dublin 6.

The Research Officer?s direct line manager is the Head of Research
and ultimate reporting rests with the CEO of AONTAS.
