The Children?s Rights Alliance is commissioning two pieces of
research on the topic of children?s early years - the first is on a
public model of childcare and the second is on public health nurses.
TENDER 1: PUBLIC MODEL OF CHILDCARE
The Children?s Rights Alliance are seeking to appoint an external
research consultant to conduct research on the development of a public
model of childcare.
THE RESEARCH WILL FOCUS ON:
* Explain and define different models of public provision of early
years? education currently available in key European countries and
summarise the key features and benefits;
* Review the recommendations from the Expert Group to see how far
they deliver upon a public early years? model;
* Make recommendations to evolve the system to a best in class
public early years? service.
TENDER 2: PUBLIC HEALTH NURSES
The Children?s Rights Alliance are seeking to appoint an external
research consultant to conduct research on the Public Health Nursing
(PHN) service in Ireland.
THE RESEARCH WILL FOCUS ON:
* The impact on children of missing developmental checks due to the
COVID-**Apply on the website** pandemic and the ongoing PHN shortages
and the identification of measures to address this.
* The progress made on the commitment contained in First 5 to
develop a dedicated child health workforce.
