PROGRAMME COORDINATOR POSITION WITH CTL IRELAND CENTRE FOR TRAVEL AND
LEARNING

CTL Ireland wishes to recruit a Programme Coordinator to work with the
operations of our travel and learning programmes in Ireland.

THE POSITION

The Programme Coordinator?will be responsible for the organisation
and administration?of CTL Secondary School programme and will provide
assistance with the administration of other CTL programmes as needed.

SPECIFIC DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

COORDINATION OF SECONDARY SCHOOL IN IRELAND

CTL runs a small Secondary School programme where participants stay in
a host family and go to a local secondary school from 3 months to 9
months. Participants are aged **Apply on the website** years old and
come from EU countries.

The successful candidate will coordinate the administrative and
personal support aspects of the programme, this includes:

* Providing support to secondary school students coming to Ireland
* Liaising with partners overseas on all aspects of programme
administration
* Liaising with local partners on all aspects of programme
administration and operations
* Occasional travel to meet with participants and local partners
* Preparing and delivering orientation workshops
* Arrival and departure assistance at airport (Dublin or Cork)
* Processing Garda Vetting for host families
* Proactively solve operational problems following guidance of CTL
directors
* Apply organisation?s policies and procedures

ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANCE WITH OTHER CTL PROGRAMMES

The successful candidate will assist as needed with the administration
of the other CTL programmes:

* GROUP PROGRAMMES (College and High School study groups, Leisure
groups) and personal support aspects of the programme
* INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME (individual volunteer and
internship placements)

TASKS INCLUDE:

* Booking and re-confirmations of various elements of group and
individual programmes: accommodation, visits, meetings, transport and
meals.
* Liaising with partners overseas on programme administration
* Liaising with local partners and service providers on programme
administration and operations
* Assist with orientation workshops
* Arrival and departure assistance at airport (Dublin or Cork)
* Processing Garda Vetting for individual participants

* Proactively solve operational problems following guidance of CTL
directors

THE PERSON

The ideal applicant will be people oriented and highly organised with
an ability to get things done. They will take ownership and pride in
their work and be proactive and innovative in updating systems and
procedures.

CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS/QUALITIES/EXPERIENCE WILL BE
PRIORITISED

* Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent
* Minimum 4 year?s work experience in administration/coordination
* Experience working as part of a team
* Problem solver
* Proven initiative / Ability to manage own workload and set
priorities while maintaining a strong attention to detail
* Highly organised with excellent time management and planning
skills and an ability to get things done on schedule
* Highly flexible with an ability to multi-task
* Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
* Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build
relationships with a wide range of people
* Excellent IT, record keeping and administration skills
* Full drivers license preferable

DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE

* Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and good practice
* Knowledge of Ireland and Irish culture
* Knowledge of intercultural exchange programmes

GENERAL INFORMATION

START DATE: to be confirmed (towards the end of January)

LOCATION: This is primarily a work from home position with
meetings/visits, mainly around Munster, Cork city and Dublin. THE
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD PREFERABLY BE BASED AROUND MUNSTER.

DURATION: One year contract including a 6 month probation period

WORKING HOURS: This is a part time position. The successful candidate
