The Fundraising & Engagement Officer will report to the Fundraising,
Engagement & Volunteer Manager, and work closely with the
Communications, Mental Health Promotion and Education, Training &
eMental Health Teams. The role demands flexible working hours which
will necessitate some attendance at out of hours meetings/events
related to the duties of a Fundraising & Engagement Officer. The
applicant must have the necessary experience and capacity to lone
working and to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.

The postholder will play an active role in supporting Mental Health
Ireland meet the goals & objectives in the strategic plan. They will
ensure that community and corporate fundraisers are managed through
the process of fundraising and volunteering activities

The successful candidate will have a passion for Fundraising,
Operational Development, and Customer Service with organisational
skills.

They will be able to translate best practice and new emerging trends
into campaign concepts

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE:

* A minimum of 2 years? experience working a fundraising, business
development or customer service role.
* An understanding of the concept of mental health and its
relationship to population health, wellbeing, recovery and sustainable
development.
* Experience of project initiation, planning, implementation, and
evaluation.
* Analytical skills with an ability to access information accurately
and quickly
* Commitment to the mission and values of Mental Health Ireland
* The ability to represent Mental Health Ireland across a diverse
range of audiences and to build effective relationships with MHAs,
HSE, service users/ family member/ supporters groups, community/
voluntary organisations and cross-sectoral stakeholders.
* The candidate will be expected to adhere to and help set KPIs in
line with their workplan and track their progress against Mental
Health Ireland strategy.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Proven ability to work using a coproduction process which includes
the voice of lived experience, statutory, voluntary and community
partners and the MHI Team.
* Ability to engage successfully with marginalised, disadvantaged or
difficult to reach cohorts within our community.
* Excellent ICT, Office **Apply on the website**, web, design and

* A high level of motivation, leadership experience and capacity for
working on one?s own initiative as well as part of a team.

THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS A DISTINCT ADVANTAGE:

* Experience using Give Panel, Facebook and other Fundraising
Platforms
* Knowledge and experience of Recovery in Mental Health and Peer
Support.
* Experiencing of volunteering and of working with an established
network of volunteers.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO HAVE THEIR OWN CAR AND A CLEAN
DRIVING LICENCE.
