Ballymun Community Law Centre provides free legal advice,
representation, legal education and mediation for individuals and
groups within the community of Ballymun. We are committed to ensuring
that access to justice is available to the people of Ballymun and we
work towards an inclusive community based around equal human rights
and social justice. Our educational programme has two aims as per our
current strategic plan:
* To facilitate greater community legal knowledge
* To advance the progression of Ballymun residents into legal
education and the legal professions.
We have been funded by the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission
to carry out research to gain an up-to-date understanding of the legal
education needs and interests of the community in Ballymun through
consultation in order to keep the programme relevant and engage
greater numbers of local Ballymun people. This relates to the IHREC
goal of seeking greater economic equality in employment and income.
