Br? Youth Service is a community-based youth service in Crumlin.
Building on a rich tradition of voluntary work, the project is
developing its service catering for the needs and interests of young
people. Br? Youth Service is an independent locally managed limited
company with a Board of Management comprising local community
representatives and other service providers.
We are now seeking to recruit for the following part-time position
(**Apply on the website**.5 hours per week) for the post of Youth
Worker on a Fixed Term Contract:
YOUTH WORKER
The Youth Worker is responsible for identifying young people at risk
in the community through contact with local schools, youth groups,
Gardai and other relevant services. He/she is also responsible for
assessing the potential and needs of the identified young people and
then developing and delivering specific programmes to meet their
potential and needs as agreed with the Board of Management.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
An * NSETS recognised professionally endorsed qualification in Youth
Work or Youth and Community Work is essential. Full-time experience of
working with young people at risk in a youth work setting in a paid
capacity is desirable.
* NSETS: North/South Education and Training Standards Committee for
Youth Work.
