ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The Social Care Worker, in co-operation with the Team Manager, will be
responsible for the overall growth and direction of the allocated day
service location in accordance with the vision, mission and Strategic
Priorities of Cheeverstown.

A number of posts are available, across day service locations within
the catchment area including Tallaght and Templeogue.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

_ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:_

* A qualification at QQI Level 7 or above in Social Care / Applied
Social Studies
* Values that correspond with Cheeverstown?s values.
* Experience working with people with an intellectual disability,
and/or autism
* Knowledge and understanding of the New Directions approach to
service provision
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and report writing skills
* Strong commitment to increasing opportunities for people to become
valued members of their local community and to live their best life.
* Belief in a person-centred approach and the empowerment of people
supported
* Possess a proven ability to work on own initiative
* Flexibility and ability to respond to changing needs, situations
and locations.

_DESIRABLE CRITERIA:_

* Ability to collaborate and work as a member of a team.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Good IT and administrative skills.
* Experience in Staff Supervisions
* Possess a full, clean driving licence
