promotes and fosters youth development through the operation of
various youth services in urban and rural areas throughout the
country. For?ige is currently recruiting for the following position:
YOUTH OFFICER
PROJECT SUMMARY
The Early School Leavers Project was established in Blanchardstown in
**Apply on the website** and is funded by the Department of Education
through Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education and Training Board. The
Project aims to equip young people with the knowledge skills and
attitudes necessary for their appropriate and full participation in
society. The project is community based and has a particular focus on

years who are out of school. The programme runs for **Apply on the
website** hours a week for **Apply on the website** weeks in the year
parallel to the school term and involves up to **Apply on the
website** young people at any one time.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING ESSENTIAL
REQUIREMENTS;
* Education to National Diploma or Degree standard preferably in
Youth / Community Work (note: candidates with exceptional, relevant
work experience may also be considered in lieu of degree
qualifications) (E)
* A minimum of 1 year relevant work experience (E)
* Access to car and full driving licence (E)
* Paid or voluntary, experience working with young people (E)
