YAP Ireland have a vacancy for an Independent Advocate for Separated
Children Seeking International Protection. This post will be located
in the YAP Ireland Dublin office with a requirement for some national
travel.

The Independent Advocate will lead in the delivery of a high-quality
Independent Advocacy Service to Separated Children Seeking
International Protection where age is a consideration in the
assessment for eligibility for Tusla services. They will be working
within our strengths-based model and operate within YAP Ireland
policies and procedures. This post requires flexibility and creativity
in responding to the needs of young people, delivering a high standard
of service in a changing climate, working time and the requirement for
national travel.

Successful Candidates will have a Degree in Advocacy or Social Care
field eg. Youth Work, Community Work, Psychology, Child Psychology,
Social Work, Social Science, and Social Care and will have at least 3
years of direct work with children and families and have experience of
advocating on behalf of children, young people and families. Those
with a lived experience and/or who speak other languages than English
and Irish are particularly welcome to apply.

support services that work to improve the lives of young people and
their families in their community.
