For?ige is the National Youth Development Organisation, which
promotes and fosters youth development through the operation of
various youth services in urban and rural areas throughout the
country. For?ige is currently recruiting for the following position:
AREA MANAGER
PROJECT SUMMARY
For?ige employs **Apply on the website** staff in North Dublin to
provide a range of educational and developmental services to young
people in the area. This includes Club development workers, with a
focus on supporting volunteer led clubs in the area and Youth Officers
with a specific focus on areas and communities experiencing specific
disadvantage. These services include identification and recruitment of
targeted young people; establishment of group and individual
interventions for targeted young people, programme development and
implementation for targeted young people, recruitment of adult
volunteers, youth leadership training, programme development,
organisational development, consultancy, advice and information and
school holiday programmes. In the main these services are provided in
local communities through targeted youth services, clubs and special
interest youth groups, youth health cafes, and community based
programmes.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING ESSENTIAL
REQUIREMENTS;
* Education to Degree standard in Youth Work or other relevant area
(note: candidates with a Diploma and with exceptional, relevant work
experience may also be considered in lieu of degree qualifications)
* Experience in managing, leading and supporting a team of staff
* Experience in managing budgets
* Experience in relationship management with local funding agencies
and stakeholder organisations
* Full Irish driving licence and access to a car
* Experience of staff/volunteer support and supervision
