ABOUT MAKING CONNECTIONS

Making Connections? mission is to alleviate loneliness and isolation
by providing Befriending and Wellbeing supports that empower people to
stay healthy and socially connected

ROLE DESCRIPTION

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Ensuring the successful delivery of an exercise and wellbeing
programme for older adults The programme involves walking groups with
a social element
* Managing a team of volunteers to support the programme
* Working as an active team member of our staff

KEY AREAS OF WORK:

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

* Complete in-depth one to one client assessments
* Attend in person weekly programme on Wednesdays
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the programme
* Ensure all compliance aspects of programme are adhered to
including health and safety
* Coordinate training and information sessions as required
* Be the main point of contact for volunteers and clients and ensure
good communication
* Utilise Salesforce to manage all volunteer engagement and to
capture placements, shifts, etc.
* Build positive relationships with all stakeholder
* Facilitate the integration of volunteers with older people
participants
* Provide support and supervision of volunteers and recognise their
contribution
* Evaluation of programme
* Organise and manage programme event
* Ensure a positive experience for all service users
* Provide regular reports and updates
* Maintain accurate and methodical records

COMMUNICATIONS

* Capture the work of service users and volunteers through stories,
quotes, pictures and feedback forms to create engaging content that
can be used across various mediums
* Regular posting on all social media channels

GENERAL

* Support the manager to monitor and review programme activities and
services, as required
* General administrative duties and such other duties, which do not
significantly change the nature of the post, as may be determined by
the Manager

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL:

* Commitment to our mission of supporting older people and to
volunteering
* A minimum of 1 years relevant experience
* A relevant third level qualification
* Excellent IT skills with a passion for IT, including experience of
social media tools and strategies to build social media presence
* Project management experience
* Enthusiastic, creative and adaptable person, who's happy to take
the initiative and enjoys a challenge
* Experienced communicator, who can use multiple mediums effectively
to connect and convey information
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to work with a
wide range of individuals and organisations
* A flexible approach to time in keeping with requirements of
programme
* Full, clean driver's license, use of your own car

DESIRABLE:

* Previous experience of local voluntary and community sector
* Previous experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM, social
media, design tools, online meeting software an advantage
