WCI LIFFEY VALLEY DEVELOPMENT WORKER (PART-TIME - **APPLY ON THE

NEILSTOWN ROAD, DUBLIN **APPLY ON THE WEBSITE**
THIS POSITION OFFERS AN OPPORTUNITY TO WORK IN A FEMINIST COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT PROJECT THAT SUPPORTS WOMEN?S EQUALITY AND WOMEN?S
WELL-BEING.
EMPLOYED BY THE WCI BOARD OF MANAGEMENT, THE DEVELOPMENT WORKER IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENGAGEMENT IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WORK WITHIN
WCI LIFFEY VALLEY AND TO FACILITATE AND SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT,
WELL-BEING, TRAINING, AND NETWORKING OF WOMEN IN THE LOCAL AREA.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* A minimum of 2 years? experience community development working
within the community sector.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent facilitation skills.
* An understanding of grassroots feminism.
* The ability to outreach and engage with women in the local area.
* The ability to identify the relevant training, supports and needs
of women in the area.
* The ability to assist with the planning and to facilitate the
delivery of relevant programmes within WCI Liffey Valley.
* The ability to network with other community organisations to
support women?s participation.
* The ability to work as part of a team.
