(Full Time – Fixed Term Contract)

THE COMPANY

Monaghan Integrated Development (MID) is the Local Development Company
for County Monaghan. MID works across a range of programmes to fulfil
its vision of a healthier, inclusive and enterprising Monaghan where
people are supported to fulfil their potential.

THE POSITION

The CEDO role is part of the SICAP Programme **Apply on the website**.

to be part of a highly motivated SICAP team, working with individuals
and groups in local communities. As a team member, the candidate can
use their skills to help communities develop social enterprises and
community projects that will make a real difference in people’s
lives.

THE ROLE

The Community & Social Enterprise Development Officer will be
responsible for designing, developing and delivering integrated
supports to clients (Community Groups, individuals, social enterprises
& businesses), across a range of social inclusion initiatives,
projects and programmes, throughout County Monaghan, in line with the
company’s core community development and social enterprise strategy.

Based in the MID Castleblayney Office, the Job holder will report to
MIDs CEO and Board. The duties of the Community & Social Enterprise
Development Officer will include:

* Working as a Community Development and SICAP team member to deliver
Community Development and Social Inclusion Support Work within MID
* Applying a broad range of community development and engagement
processes and practices to assist MID and the community to identify
and implement local priorities
* Initiating and supporting community-led initiatives in the areas
of community development and enhancement, environment, employment
creation and social enterprise development
* Providing support to communities to undertake Community
Socio-Economic Planning processes, which may include leading,
participating in, or assisting with various elements of the process
* Supporting clients with the preparation of applications for grant
aid from the full range of available sources

DRIVING LICENCE AND OWN CAR ACCESS ARE ESSENTIAL. INTERVIEWS FOR THIS
