JOB DESCRIPTION: The Regional Co-Ordinator is to manage and develop
the services of MOVE Ireland in the Connaught region by engaging with
third parties organisation’s and professionals who come into contact
with abusers to make them aware of the programmes provided by MOVE
Ireland.
MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE Regional Co-Ordinator will manage all
aspects of the implementation of the CHOICES programme within the
region by:
* Manage the operation of each group programme through working
closely with the group facilitators and the partner support workers
* To raise awareness of MOVE Ireland among professionals and the
general public in the local coordinating areas.
* Be the primary contact with statutory and voluntary agencies in
local areas.
* Screen referrals in relation to initial assessment of suitability
LOCATION: This position is a hybrid role, where face to case sessions
will be conducted in assigned locations in the Connaught region.
REPORTING TO: CEO
HOURS OF WORK: **Apply on the website** hours per week. The successful
applicants will be willing to travel to existing and potential new
MOVE groups, attend meetings etc., thus work flexible hours is a
requirement.

MOVE Ireland (Men Overcoming Violence) is a national voluntary
organisation working in the area of domestic violence. The
organisation supports the safety and wellbeing of women and their
children who are experiencing or have experienced violence/abuse in
their intimate relationships, by providing a group-work intervention
programme for men who perpetrate this violence and want to change

Tenure of Post: This part time position is for an indefinite duration,
subject to funding. There will be a six-month probationary period.
OVERALL AIM OF THE POSITION:
_RESPONSIBILITIES:_
PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT & COORDINATION
* Line management and support of facilitator posts in each designated
area
* Be the main referral point for receiving referrals for attending a
MOVE Ireland programme.
* Allocation of cases to the team of facilitators/ organise rotas
for the group programme
* Liaise with Partner Contact Services and initiate the Partner
Contact referral
* Coordinate and chair local risk management meetings
NETWORKING/INTERAGENCY LIAISON
* Liaise with professionals in relation to referrals and assessments
and ongoing case management issues including attendance at Case
Conferences
* Undertake the role of Child Protection Designated Liaison Officer
in each designated MOVE Ireland area
* Promote the work of MOVE Ireland through networking, management of
interagency relationships and awareness raising
ADMINISTRATION
* Manage and update on a continuous basis relevant databases
recording client and referral information
* Compile relevant statistical data on the implementation of the
programme
* To ensure that the safety standards that are in place are followed
and reviewed regularly to ensure effectiveness and adherence to best
practice
* To assist head office in the recruitment of facilitators
* Approving claims/invoices for payment by Head Office
* Ensure good governance in relation to data protection
* To participate in team meetings as and when required
* To participate in regular supervision and an annual performance
appraisal
* To prepare reports as and when required
* To facilitate effective communication internally and externally
* Attend training, conference, special events as identified and
agreed
* To carry out other appropriate duties that may be required from
time to time
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
ESSENTIAL
* Graduate degree or equivalent in a related field and a minimum of 2
years recent experience in managing projects in the health, justice,
or community development fields
Or
* Three years recent experience (in the last 5 years) in managing
projects in the health, justice, or community development fields
DESIRABLE
_Knowledge_
* An understanding of Violence Against Women and /or Domestic
Violence Perpetrator Programmes
_Experience_
* The ability to build rapport quickly with women.
* Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work daily.
* Experience of providing support to vulnerable people under stress
* Working within a multi-agency and legislative framework
* Demonstrable experience of working with women who are or have
experienced domestic violence within the context of a helping
environment, both face to face and on the telephone.

* Relevant IT skills (Microsoft Office essential)
* Access to a car or alternative means of transport to enable the
requirements of the position to be met in full.
