The nurse will provide and administer a comprehensive medical health and welfare service for students and a limited service to staff of the University. Both treatment and preventative elements are part of that service. As a nurse-led service, the nurse must:
be able to function independently and have excellent decision making skills
provide emergency interventions and act as a first responder when required
have well developed communication and interpersonal skills
work co-operatively with the contracted GPs and with other ATU staff
take a leading role in health promotion activities within the University.
The range of duties assigned to the Nurse may vary from time to time.Location: The post holder will be based on the ATU Donegal, Letterkenny Campus.
