HELIUM ARTS

Helium Arts is the national children?s arts and health charity and
social enterprise, countering the social isolation of children living
with long-term health conditions. Based in Mullingar and operating
through Hubs currently in Cork and Limerick, they provide a creative
community for children of all ages living with long-term health
conditions to make friends, have fun, and learn new skills. Through
the model, professional artists working with volunteers deliver an
?arts on referral? programme which connects children and
families? hospital experience to creative experiences in their
community.

website** children to let their creativity shine, five times as many
children than any year previous. The organisation worked with **Apply
on the website** artists and **Apply on the website** volunteers who
supported the delivery of the organisation?s health hubs in Cork,
Limerick, and Dublin. Helium Arts is funded through a mix of 3 key
areas which are state funding, earned income and fundraised income
derived from corporate partnerships in particular.

Helium Arts has developed its fundraising activity over the years and
has received support from Business to Arts and the Social Innovation
Fund to achieve this. Helium Arts is seeking to appoint a Development
Manager to support the scale and growth of Helium Arts new model by
increasing the organisation?s level of income and to devise and
implement a fundraising strategy_._

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (PART-TIME)

Reporting to the CEO, the Development Manager will be responsible for
developing and implementing a fundraising strategy for the
organisation and will lead on Helium Arts fundraising activity. The
post-holder will have responsibility for generating income across a
range of sources, with a particular focus on securing multi-annual
agreements and grants from corporate partnerships, government agencies
and major gifts. Securing income from other sources such as individual
giving, community fundraising and earned income will also fall under
the Development Manager?s remit. This role will be a part of Helium
Arts management team and as such the post-holder will provide
leadership and support in the overall management of the organisation.

Helium Arts are seeking an individual with at least three years of
progressive and measurable proven experience in fundraising, ideally
with direct experience of developing and implementing a fundraising
strategy within a small to medium sized organisation. The successful
candidate will be an excellent communicator, adaptable, organised and
an astute relationship manager with the ability to manage and
cultivate relationships with a range of key stakeholders. They will
also have a genuine interest in the arts and in the work of Helium
