Zurich Treasury Services the Front Office is the execution function
for the Zurich Insurance Group and our looking for a Junior Dealer to
join their team.
The responsibility of the Front Office is as follows:
* The main responsibility of the Front Office is the execution of
all required trades in a professional manner.
* Portfolio-level hedging of Rate, Equity, Credit and Foreign
Exchange risk stemming from the various books. Managing the associated
exposures.
* Price all potential trades and structures in a timely manner
including investment opportunities (e.g. Structured Deposits)
* Managing the daily liquidity positions for the various group
companies to ensure there is adequate funding for their developing
portfolios.
* Servicing client foreign exchange requirements (execution hedging
on behalf of the customer)
* Facilitate other customer related business that may arise (e.g. in
relation Cash Management agreements, deposit placing and management of
client funds).
* Develop and manage counterpart relationships (internal, corporate
and bank)
* Ensuring that trades comply with all approved policies and
procedures
Requirements
* Strong undergraduate degree is beneficial (relevant Financial
Masters, MBA, or CFA preferred, demonstrating excellent logical &
quantitative skills).
* Hard-working and dependable, with ability to develop strong
working relationships both internally and with clients.
* Flexibility in work practices and a willingness to meet required
deadlines.
* Display a professional, knowledgeable and service driven approach
at all times, client focused.
* Highly developed communication skills coupled with the ability to
work independently while functioning well as part of a team.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
* Take ownership of various Front Office processes and manage
associated positions and controls (i.e. strategic monitoring of
positions for various Zurich entities).
* Develop ability to execute required transactions in a professional
manner and have the ability to model the trades in the deal capture
system.
* Gain knowledge and experience in the interest rate & equity
derivative markets. Develop a greater understanding of the pricing of
the various structures
* Quote foreign exchange and money market rates for internal
clients.
* Work closely with the senior managers to develop Front Office
experience.
* Help manage and develop market relationships.
* Ensure internal clients are provided with accurate and timely
information on the trades executed resulting in high levels of
customer satisfaction.
* Help in the development of relationships with third party entities
ensuring market access for all products when required.
* Stay abreast of developments across all financial markets as the
basis for gaining a greater understanding of the important issues.
* Take on additional assignments/responsibilities that may arise
from time to time.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Primary work location is IFSC, Dublin. Position is Dublin-based but
occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
