Senior Quantity Surveyor
Senior Quantity Surveyor - Southwest Cork

Permanent position

My Client a Civil Engineering and Building firm with offices across
Ireland and the United Kingdom. A leading multidisciplinary contractor
in engineering. Projects across government departments, local
authorities, multinational organisations and private clients.

They are currently looking for Quantity Surveyor for the Munster /
SouthWest region. Candidate must be flexible to travel.

Responsibilites will include:

* The Project Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial
and contractual performance of projects.

* The role will look after the commercial activities during the
pre-contract process and throughout to contract close out.

* Identifying and preparing commercial targets for the projects.

* Looking after the sourcing and appointment of subcontractors,
attending planning meetings, documentation and schedules, dealing with
applications, variation schedules, measurement, accounting and
payments schedules and all contractual correspondence through to final
accounts.

* Develop & project valuations & progress reports

* Maintain and control project profitability through high standard
cost reporting

* Handle contract variations, preparation of cost reconciliation and
forecasting in line with cost/value reports and management accounts

* Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

* Educated to Honours Degree level (minimum) in Quantity Surveying

* 5+ years experience in a similar role

* Strong operational skills and an attention to detail

* Excellent client facing and presentation skills

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills will prove
essential to your success in this role
