Associate Scientist/Empower
Position: Associate Scientist (Empower)

Analytical Development Department in Cork, Ireland, is responsible for
early and late development new product introduction, new technology
introduction and drug substance and drug product clinical release and
stability testing of the global product portfolio.

The position is in the Biochemistry and Early Development Stability
Sciences Group in the Analytical Development Department.

Main duties and responsibilities

* Perform Empower software laboratory administrator and developer
duties to support clinical and commercial separations portfolio.

* Execute independently assigned projects.

* Independently write/revise SOP&#**Apply on the website**;s or other
official documentation and reports.

* Review and approve official documentation created by peers.

* Keep up to date with existing and new SOP&#**Apply on the
website**;s and official documentation.

* Perform investigations where required.

* Take an active role in Continuous Improvement, identify and drive
improvement initiatives.

* Perform other duties as designated by Laboratory
Management/Supervision.

* Contribute to proper use, calibration and maintenance of laboratory
equipment where applicable.

* Develop subject matter expertise on assigned analytical techniques.

* Perform data review, interpretation and trending where applicable.

* Train / coach other lab personnel.

Education and Experience/Competencies

* A BSc, MSc or PhD in Biotechnology or a related scientific field.

* Experience in Biotherapeutics is an advantage

* Experience in Empower software is an advantage

* Analytical skills required to troubleshoot laboratory issues.

* Customer focus and result driven.

* Efficient and flexible.

* Excellent communication skills.

* High attention to detail.

* Ability to work well within team structures and provide leadership
as required.
